CINDIE DURNIE

Cindie was born and raised in Calgary and has been creating art all her life. Cindie’s introduction to art was born at the early age of 8, where pencil drawings, charcoal, pastels and watercolours were her first mediums to discover.

Through school, Cindie took every art course available and won the grade 10 art award. This inspired her to move forward into decorative painting and teaching, owning her own store for several years. Winning numerous awards over the years at the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, Heritage Park and numerous other venues.

Cindie has been teaching many styles of art for nearly 30 years and is passionate for fantasy landscapes and realistic oils inspired by big sky Alberta and our glorious rocky mountains. Although many of Cindie’s decisions have taken her away from painting, her heart continues to bring her back and she is here to stay!
